Salt in the wound...

Since we can shut down their offense on the field, we might as well shut it down with recruiting, too.

Throwing is fun, but winning is funner!

I hope him or JPW work out. I'm so tired of us taking super athletic QBs like Jimmy Johns and turning them into other things.

Both JP and this guy seem like pure quarterbacks. Johns was recruited more as an athlete than a QB and converting him to a running back has worked out pretty well. My question is whatever happened to Jimmy Barnes? I know Shula has said from the get go that he plans to bring a QB in with each recruiting class, but we are kind of stacked right now with JP, Guillon, Barnes and now McElroy. I know Guillon will probably never get above 3rd string on the depth chart again, so I don't know if Barnes just isn't cutting it or what. Anyway, McElroy played in a pro-style offense like ours in high school so it should be a pretty easy transition for him and hopefully we'll have some decent receivers to put around both he and JP. Stover is coming in now that he's academically eligible so hopefully he'll become a go to guy, and a lot of people seem to be pretty optimistic on tim hawthorne. Fingers crossed...

My sports editor in Texas graduated from Southlake Carroll, and he never stopped talking shit about Bama (though that was more of a personality trait than an actual beef with the school). HI-larious.
