What can Brown do for you?

Let's see...

1) Not deliver all of your cases. Because when you are expecting an eleven case shipment from a shipper within your one day guaranteed shipping zone, expect five today, maybe a few tomorrow, and the rest the next day, IF AT ALL.

2) Have a fucking attitude about it. Because if you call to complain they'll let you know that one day guaranteed only means that the system has to show your packages are SCHEDULED on time, they don't actually have to get there. And if it get's lost? Probably the shipper's fault, you should take it up with them.

3) Have even more of a fucking attitude about the lost cases. Because if you file a claim it takes them three to eight weeks to determine if it's actually lost or not, and then another three to eight weeks to determine who's fault it is (hint: not their's), and then another three to eight weeks to verify the insured value, and then another three to eight weeks to process the claim. And that's if the insurance company doesn't get involved, because they won't pay shit.

4) Raise their shipping rates EVERY MONTH. Because you're really getting too good of service for what you're paying. Plus, Teamster bosses need new Cadillacs every day.

That about covers it for today.

Idealistically (sp?) that would be the solution. Realistically (sp? My mind is blank today), and it pains me to type this, as bad as UPS is FedEx Ground is worse. I have nothing but good things to say about FedEx Air, but Ground is really just RPS with new uniforms and there was a reason RPS was going under and ripe for the taking, if you get my drift. FedEx Freight is also quite efficient, but for some reason Ground just can't get it's act together. Plus, I really don't have any say in the matter since it's really our shipper's choice on who they ship by and for most of our suppliers we are in a two to three day zone with FedEx Ground as opposed to a one day zone with UPS. Like I said, not that we actually get shit in one day, but still...
