I watched The Wild Bunch again yesterday and something struck me: If you see Ernest Borgnine in the credits of a western, it's going to be good. Check it:

The Wild Bunch (1969)
The Badlanders (1958)
Jubal (1956)
The Last Command (1955)
Vera Cruz (1954)
The Bounty Hunter (1954)
Johnny Guitar (1954)

All classics, all starring Borgnine. Plus he was in all these movies that I liked:

From Here to Eternity (1953)
Bad Day at Black Rock (1955)
The Vikings (1958)
McHale's Navy (1964)
The Flight of the Phoenix (1965)
The Dirty Dozen (1967)
Ice Station Zebra (1968)
Suppose They Gave a War and Nobody Came? (1970)
The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
Convoy (1978)
Escape from New York (1981)
BASEketball (1998)

Could Borgnine possibly have been my favorite actor all along and I never even knew it?

I'm sure you kids know me best as Sergeant Fatso Judson in From Here to Eternity!

I'm not big into westerns, but From Here to Eternity, Flight of the Phoenix and The Dirty Dozen are easily some of my all-time favorites.

Don't forget about "Airwolf" Favorite TV show when I was 8-10 years old. Although it was pretty much Knight Rider with a helicopter, but I didn't care back then.
